2011 Nintendo Wii Games

2011 looks to be a promising year for the Nintendo Wii. With highly anticipated games such as Lost in Shadows, Mario Sports Mix and Conduit 2, just over the horizon, plus adding up all the brouhaha over the Zelda franchise’s 25th Year Anniversary, Nintendo Wii players will have a lot on their plate this year.

Which is a pretty good time to just chill out before the storm with some good old classics, before everything gets too exciting.

Metroid Prime Trilogy

Who could ever resist the charms of a battlesuit encased bad ass babe Samus as she cavorts through space, blasting away at Space Pirates left and right! Granted, other old timers might have missed the original side scroller, but the decision to change the gameplay into a first person shooter was a long overdue decision, and one that nobody, least of all the bigwigs at Nintendo would disagree on.

Guitar Hero 5

Just when you thought that the franchise couldn’t get any better, you were proven wrong over and over again. But that’s okay, it’s the good kind of wrong. Guitar Hero 5 even makes things easier for those who just discovered their funk by making all songs available from the beginning. And the Join the Party mode makes this as casual as it is cool by allowing your mates to jump in anytime during the jam session. While the song list may not be better than the previous incarnations and we all have our favorite parts, but somehow you can never really go wrong with a game that has Shirley Manson and Carlos Santana in it.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

You can never forget your first time. For most of us, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was our first foray into the world of Wii, and the experience was, without a doubt, unreal. Twilight Princess would definitely rank as the best Wii game of its time, or even the best wii game ever, and it’s not just the nostalgia talking. While the Wii graphics may not be up to the other bigwigs, it’s the visceral feel of the quest, the way how you swing your sword arm and punch your way out of a fracas that has got the player so engrossed in the Zelda universe that it’s almost like being in a dream. The really good one that we never want to wake up from.

Call of Duty: World at War

I wouldn’t normally let myself be caught dead shooting the TV screen with a Wiimote, but I wouldn’t disgrace my country by hiding my Call of Duty game play from any onlooker. And why should anybody? World at War uses the visually exquisite Call of Duty: Modern Warfare engine makes the gameplay such an eye candy that nobody would really mind the bullets whizzing overhead. What truly made this game shine is the array of multiplayer options available, which adds an interesting element once you factor in the motion sensor tech of the Wii.

There are so many classic video games available on the Nintendo Wii game system. There are many sites online that offer a broad variety of information for this system as well, including video game cheats, and more!.
